The OntarioMD Privacy and Security Training and Attestation Module

Terms and Conditions of Use

The OntarioMD Privacy and Security Training and Attestation Module (the "Module") is an online learning management solution for health care providers and their authorized employees/agents. The Module acknowledges and responds to the evolving requirements and complexities of health care privacy and security.

The Module is intended to promote the safeguarding of Personal Health Information ("PHI").  This Module contains information and resources for education purposes only.

Successful completion of this Module is one of the necessary requirements for access to some of Ontario's digital health assets, including the Electronic Health Record ("EHR") Systems. The Module is scored and audited in order to satisfy these access requirements and in order to provide you with continuing medical education ("CME") credits through the College of Family Physicians of Canada. This Self-Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 2 Mainpro+ credits.

This module can be claimed for credit(s) under the Royal College Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program as a Section 2: Personal Learning Project for 2 credits/hour. In order to claim the credit(s), you must record the activity in your MAINPORT ePortfolio and complete at least one learning outcome. Where you consent, information regarding your completion of the Module, together with your CPSO number, will be shared with eHealth Ontario in order to facilitate your access to provincial EHR Systems.
